Community Foundation presents check to Jackie Regan-Gaucin, Dodge City Family YMCA CEO

The Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas recently presented a gift to the Dodge City Family YMCA for its before and after school programs.

Dodge City Family YMCA’s After School Program started in 2013, and continues to be a great partnership between USD 443 and the YMCA.

“We are always so grateful to the Community Foundation for their continued support to us, and to many others in Southwest Kansas. I had the privilege of attending their Annual Banquet and had no idea the widespread influence their organization has across many facets of Dodge City and the surrounding communities. We are truly lucky to be a part of the impact they are making.”

Currently, the after school program has sites at the YMCA, Northwest, Soule, Ross, Miller, Beeson and Linn Elementary as well as before school at the YMCA. The Y site also hosts Fundays on school out days to provide a safe place for kids while parents are at work. We also have extended times at the YMCA to accommodate parents who need a later pick up time.

Scholarships are available for attendance, and any family who qualifies for free/reduced lunch through USD 443 also qualify for at least 30% off programs and membership at the YMCA which is funded through our Everyone Belongs Scholarship Program.

For more information on the After School Program contact Director of Programs, Stacie Droste at (620) 225-8157 or stacied@dcksymca.org. For information on how you can support the Y by giving back to the community contact Jackie Regan-Gaucin at 620-225-8157.
